United States elections, 1990
The 1990 United States midterm elections were held on November 6. Incumbent President of the United States George H.W. Bush and the Republican Party lost nine seats in the U.S. House, lower than the average amount of seats lost by U.S. Presidents at the time, which was 29.[1] Out of the 33 seats up for election in the United States Senate, the Democratic party gained one.[2]
